We are Laba Group. We are disrupting education by creating live courses with "big name" industry leaders from companies like Google, Microsoft, Netflix, and Nike. Over the past 8 years, we’ve grown from a startup into an international EdTech company with branches in Romania, Ukraine, the UK, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, the USA, Germany and the Czech Republic. Our ambitious goal is to keep expanding, set up our projects in more countries, and eventually become an EdTech unicorn!

Our Czech projects, launched in 2022, are growing fast and we need an enthusiastic HR Generalist. You'll be at the heart of recruitment, shaping our processes, nurturing a fantastic corporate culture, and handling vital document processing in Czechia.

Let's get to the tasks:

  • work with employee experience (onboarding, retention, promotion, dismissal);
  • create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations;
  • hold regular 1:1 meetings with employees, conduct surveys, exit interviews, and implement an action plan based on the results;
  • update HR policies (creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval, and initiating corporate events);
  • participate in HR projects (adaptation systems, well-being, development of corporate culture, introducing and coordinating appraisal systems in each department);
  • maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits, and attendance records, and supervise the signing of contracts with employees (including keeping in touch with our accountancy partner company and taking care of legal documentation);
  • help develop an internal employer brand;
  • recruit for 2-3 positions per month and collaborate with the Global Talent Acquisition Team;
  • cooperate within our multicultural HR team to exchange experience and use the best practices.

Requirements What we expect from you:

  • native level of Czech and B2 in English;
  • 2+ years of in-house HR and/or recruitment experience and desire to build a career as an HR Generalist;
  • strong leadership potential and desire to grow quickly;
  • advanced digital skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools, and human resources software;
  • fast adaptation to changes and striving for challenges, capability to make decisions quickly and thoughtfully;
  • understanding that HR is about systems, and not only "loving people and communication";
  • analytical mindset: your decisions are based on numbers, not on emotions;
  • organizational skills at PRO level: all contracts are signed just in time, and hiring managers don't forget to give feedback after the interviews;
  • you are ready to dig deeper and ask tons of questions to find the solutions;
  • desire to upgrade yourself professionally and to help your colleagues improve.
